Tanzania 2025
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Niamh Higgins and I’m a lower sixth student in St Patrick’s College Maghera. I am extremely grateful and privileged to have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to travel to Tanzania for 2 weeks in July this Summer with 12 other students along with teachers from my school.
During our time in Tanzania we will be volunteering helping those at St Mary’s Ciara School. This school has a close connection with the Charity Rafiki Tanzania, which has helped build the school “poley poley” (slowly slowly) with each donation made. The school is built as a tribute to Ciara McLaughlin, a young girl who at my own age was tragically killed premature to her own volunteering trip to Tanzania, before passing away Ciara wrote a creed in which she stated,
“I believe that everything happens for a reason even though it is so hard at times.
I believe that any one person can make a difference and that one day with Gods help I can make a difference in the lives of people around me”
Ciara’s beliefs came true as she has truly made a difference to hundreds of lives in Tanzania as her legacy lives on as children receive an education in her name, we hope to continue her legacy and make a difference. With the help of your generous donations. We each have been tasked with raising £2000 to go towards Ciara’s school along with a few other projects in Tanzania. I immensely appreciate every donation no matter how big or small as every penny makes such a difference to those in Moshi Tanzania
Asante- Thank you
Niamh ❤️
