A Loving Father

Those that know my son, know how big his heart is and how much he loves his children. He's been dedicated to his children since he found out he was going to be a Dad. He's retained an attorney in years past and has been getting his son from Georgia for spring, summer, and winter breaks. Since he's been coming to MN, my grandson has been subjected to abuse, each year that has been something alarming to my son. My son filed an emergency motion and was granted a hearing here in MN.

The day before the hearing; the mother decided to issue a warrant for my son's arrest in GA.

Following the directions of his attorney my son awaited his hearing to send my grandchild back home. The hearing was heard, and my son was informed it wasn't an emergency situation, but to pursue changing the custody motion in place in GA and send him home within 7 days.

He followed that order; and was home in 4 days.

5 days after my grandchild had been home, my son was arrested while driving for work.

They were going to expedite him to GA but his emergency motion paperwork stopped the process.

My son and I drove to GA with the exact paperwork but they aren't just dismissing the warrant.

He has presented the motion filing paperwork, the findings of why the motion was granted, and the results of the hearing.

My son also brought forth letters to the judge from his attorneys in MN to explain the reasoning for his concerns about his child.

He's done all he can to communicate with the mother, pays child support, flies his son to and from GA, and it's gotten nowhere but him locked up.

Now we must file a motion to change custody before he goes back to court; he's been charged with "Child Custody Interference," and has yet to receive a court date.

This fundraiser would assist him with attorney fees and hopefully get him full custody of his son.
