The Ocean City Beach Citizens Council (OCBCC) hopes this message finds you well and filled with the same passion for preserving historic black communities we possess. We are writing to you today with an appeal that aims to inspire change, foster growth, and secure the future of our community through crucial improvement projects and the legal counsel of a dedicated real estate attorney.

Ocean City Beach, NC is undoubtedly a place of natural beauty, where the sun-kissed shores meet the rolling waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Our community has a rich history, cherished traditions, and a tight-knit spirit that brings us together as a family. However, as with any growing community, we face challenges that demand our attention and collective action. To ensure the prosperity of Ocean City Beach, we must rise to meet these challenges head-on. With that in mind, the OCBCC is embarking on an ambitious journey to raise funds for crucial improvement projects that will directly impact the lives of every resident and visitor alike. These projects encompass a wide range of initiatives to preserve the original footprint of Ocean City Beach, including the following:

1. Retain a seasoned real estate attorney: With the expertise of a dedicated real estate attorney, the Ocean City Beach Community will be better able to navigate legal complexities, negotiate favorable contracts, and ensure that our community's interests are well represented in any real estate transactions in the given political climate

2. Infrastructure Development: Installation of our community entrance signs, improving and securing the Ocean City Beach Community beach access, and creating drainage systems to prevent flooding.

3. Cultural Events and Recreational Facilities: We aim to improve our recreational areas and continue to host cultural events, such as the Ocean City Beach Jazz Festival, to create inviting spaces for families, foster community engagement, and promote a healthy, active lifestyle.

To kick-start our fundraising efforts, we are reaching out to caring individuals who share our commitment to the preservation of black-owned lands in the U.S., such as the property lines of the homeowners within the original footprint of the Ocean City Beach Community.
