Urban Scholar Film Academy
Since 2021, Urban Scholar Film Academy is dedicated to empowering underserved high school students through hands-on film education, mentorship, and real-world production experience. Our students don’t just learn about filmmaking — they make films that reflect their voices, their communities, and their visions for the future.
This spring, we are preparing to produce our next original film, and we’re asking for your support to help make it possible.
Producing a film is both an educational journey and a professional-level undertaking. Funds raised through this campaign will directly support:
- Camera, sound, and lighting equipment
- Production design, costumes, and props
- Location fees and permits
- Post-production costs including editing, sound design, and color correction
- Meals and transportation for our student filmmakers and professional crew/cast members who support our film scholars.
Every dollar raised goes toward creating a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment where our scholars can gain real credits, real experience, and real confidence in their craft.
