Urban Scholar Academy

For over 12 years, Urban Scholar Academy has transformed the lives of urban youth in Inglewood and South Los Angeles through academic enrichment and community service opportunities. Serving students from Kindergarten to 12th grade, our flagship programs—Saturday Academy, Homework Club, Tutoring, Seasonal Camps, and our Film Academy—have made a lasting impact on our community.

Continuing this legacy, we are excited to launch our newest impactful initiative: Urban Scholar College Prep Academy This program is designed to equip South Los Angeles high school students with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to excel in college and beyond. It will also address the challenges students face on their path to higher education. Guided by experienced mentors, students will master resume building, leadership, public speaking, personal and professional writing, and SAT prep. We also provide guidance on securing scholarships and financial aid, easing the financial burden that often hinders college access.

Beyond the classroom, the College Prep Academy will offer field trips to events like the Black College Expo and university campus tours, inspiring students with firsthand exposure to educational opportunities. Presentations from educational leaders enrich their experience, offering invaluable insights and role models.
