Mama’s Celebration of Life

Donation protected
Hello, My name is Sarah Castellano. I am the youngest of two daughters of Frank and Merida Castellano. My Mama Merida, was taken home to Heaven this past Wednesday, October 25th. Mom had battled diabetes for the majority of her life, amongst many other life altering conditions. She fought long, and hard. She fought so hard to stay here for her wonderful husband Frank, 43 years of marriage, her two daughters Emily and myself, Sarah. She loved my three children, Slade, Rhett, and Willow, and my sister Emily’s two step children Danica and Dylan with all of her being. My mom worked all of our lives as a Special Needs teacher for the Pleasanton Unified School District. Unfortunately, after 24 years of service to the district, her health declined and she had to medically retire. My mama had 12 brothers and sisters, some whom have since passed, so many nieces and nephews we can’t even count, and our family is huge! Jesus and Family has always been the center of my Mama’s life. We will be having a Celebration of Life to celebrate and come together and remember life and love that she shared with so many. My Dad (Frank), now is down to one income, and with the loss of his precious wife, he is having to make some very difficult decisions and changes during this already difficult time. My sister and myself have done everything we can to help and support our Mother and Father. We have all been enduring financial hardships…as many of us here are. Many of you know, even when my Mom and Dad had troubles, they would give the last loaf of bread, gallon of milk, or $1.00, that they had to help someone else. Mama always taught us to keep the faith, and that God would provide. We are humbly asking for donations to help support my grieving father and our family with household and healthcare expenses, burial/cremation services, and celebration of life expenses and everything that goes along. Our Mama deserves the best. Even if it’s not monetary you can give, a kind word, a beautiful memory, or a prayer would be more than sufficient. We are grateful for you love and support during this time.

Gratefully,

The Castellano Family
