Help Fund My Eagle Scout Project:

Rebuilding the Batting Cage at Acton's Veterans Field

Thank you for considering a donation to my Eagle Scout project. An Eagle Scout project is a scout’s last step in their scouting career when they choose to improve, build, or fix something to benefit their community. For my project, I am removing the old, damaged batting cage at Veterans Field in Acton and replacing it with a brand new high-quality, commercial-grade cage. Additionally, I will level out the ground around the cage and install astroturf to address the problem of puddling water, making hitting in the cage a better experience in wet weather.

How You Can Help

I’m fundraising to cover the costs of materials and installation, and I would appreciate your support to make this project a reality for the town. I estimate it will take $5,800 to complete this project. All contributions will be used to directly cover the costs for the purchase and installation of the batting cage. This includes the costs of:

Every dollar helps bring this essential community upgrade to life. Whether you donate $10 or $100, you’ll be helping to build a safe and lasting space for young ball players to train and enjoy. Any funds leftover will be donated back to the Acton Boxborough Youth Baseball League to support its programs and the long-term maintenance of the project.

The project is already underway and is scheduled to be completed by August 6, 2025.
