March mullets for mental health is meant to be a way to open up the conversation and break down barriers in talking about mental health issues. #askmeaboutmymullet results in you asking me why my hair looks like this and I get to tell you about the cause and why it’s important to me and just like that there is a dialogue regarding mental health. The main point of the whole thing being that you never know what other people are going through behind closed doors or even how they’re feeling right in front of you until you ask and are willing to go through those uncomfortable few minutes with them. Opening up that conversation can be so beneficial for everyone involved and you may not even realize it. Reach out to your loved ones and tell them how much they mean to you, the raising money portion is to benefit The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Foundation, and any donation will help make an impact. They do so many amazing things to help people that are struggling and are a cause very close to my heart.
