My name is Dani and I am helping a young new mom (Jenny) just coming to the United States seeking asylum. She left El Salvador and walked while pregnant after being beaten and raped for not joining the local gang in her village.
She and her best friend, now significant other, endured an incredibly difficult and painful journey to get here. She stayed with us until her next sponsors took over in Seattle.
I began this go fund me when we became her sponsors in 2019, we only raised $730. That money has come and gone and they are facing even more challenges than they have before.
Unfortunately due to Covid and a number of life events the sponsors she was with are no longer helping. And her lawyers have changed too many times to keep track.
We are in need of finances for immigration attorney services as well as healthcare services for her and Genesis. My immediate goal is to get her back to Los Angeles where she has the resources to help her with her case and get her back on her feet as well as into a work program so she can take care of her and her child.
The reality is she needs a home and if I can set her up in a home long enough to get her past her court date so she can get approved to start working would help change her life for the better.
This little girl and her mama do not deserve to live on the streets, in a car, or on a park bench because our system couldn’t get it together.
We have reached out to every organization that helps individuals like her and now we are asking individuals like you to help us make a difference.
Thank you in advance for donating and sharing!
