Orphanage in Uganda needs help

We are students from the school Noorderpoort in Groningen, Netherlands. In May 2022, we went to Uganda. During the school project, we visited many places and learned a lot. We all have different perspectives on our lives now. In those two weeks, we also visited an orphanage in Nakaloke, close to Mbale. They welcomed us while dancing with us, everyone was so lovely. They had an entire show for us. It was a warm welcome. We gave the orphanage money that we had collected with the students. We also gave them the essential necessities. There were incredibly grateful.

The orphanage picks up kids from the streets who have lost their parents. They are alone, hungry and scared. In the orphanage, they are no longer alone. They can make friends and have mother/father figures who look after the kids. That's why the orphanage must stay funded.

Unfortunately, it's not going so well with the orphanage. They're out of money and out of food. They are hungry and sick. Our team of students is setting up a fundraiser to help the orphanage.

It would be amazing to collect €8.000. That will feed all 50 children in the orphanage for a year. All the donations will be brought personally by our teachers. They will return to Uganda in 2023. This way, we are sure that the money ends up with the right people.
