L'asino che vola - Punda Ali

Ciao! Mi chiamo Viola, sono una laureanda in Psicologia e collaboro, da diversi anni, con Nyumba Ali Odv.

L'Associazione

Nyumba Ali Odv, organizzazione di volontariato bolognese, da quasi vent’anni si occupa di disabilità infantile nel sud della Tanzania, in particolare gestisce tre centri diurni interamente amministrati da personale locale, che offrono assistenza psicologica, fisica ed educativa ad oltre 70 bambini e bambine con disabilità motorie e intellettive, anche complesse.

Oltre ad essere consigliera dell’Associazione, da cinque anni svolgo sedute di Riabilitazione equestre (Ippoterapia) con alcuni/e bambini/e ospiti in una fattoria vicino alla città.

Questa attività è stata avviata anni fa da Angela Ravaioli, ex presidentessa dell’Associazione Il Paddock di Bologna e mia mentore nonché insegnante nell’ambito dell’ippoterapia.

Purtroppo, Angela è scomparsa prematuramente poco tempo fa, ed essendo stata da subito grande sostenitrice di questo nuovo progetto di pet-therapy, abbiamo deciso di dedicarglielo.

L'obiettivo

L’obiettivo di questo crowdfunding è quello di raccogliere 5000 euro per avviare un progetto interamente nostro di onoterapia (pet therapy con gli asini) per i bambini e le bambine dell’Associazione.

L'asino in Tanzania

L’asino rappresenta una presenza costante nella cultura e nella vita quotidiana e lavorativa delle comunità in Tanzania, per questo motivo esso rappresenta il partner ideale per un progetto terapeutico rivolto ai bambini e alle bambine di Nyumba Ali.

Creare un progetto di onoterapia significherebbe quindi abbracciare integralmente la loro cultura e promuovere un tipo di intervento assistito con l’animale auspicabilmente più efficace.

Entrando nel vivo del progetto il mio scopo è quello di formare un’équipe terapeutica locale già appartenente al personale dell’Associazione, il cui ruolo sarà quello di accompagnare, in base ai loro bisogni e necessità, i bambini e le bambine in sedute di onoterapia, che si svolgeranno nel corso di tutta la settimana.

Come verranno impiegati i fondi

I fondi serviranno a coprire le diverse spese previste per l’avviamento del progetto.

In particolare, in collaborazione con il responsabile dei centri in loco, Adam Duma, abbiamo già provveduto a trovare un terreno edificabile e affittabile nei pressi di uno dei centri diurni, così da facilitare gli spostamenti dei bambini e delle bambine e garantire la continuità dell’attività.

In questo terreno verranno ospitate le due asine co-terapeute che saranno curate e gestite da un groomer locale.

A tal fine, verranno qui costruiti un paddock con capanna per accogliere gli animali e un recinto terapeutico nel quale si svolgeranno le sedute di onoterapia.

Riteniamo inoltre fondamentale rendere lo spazio sicuro, inclusivo e accessibile e prevediamo quindi la costruzione di passerelle, scivoli e corrimani che permettano ai bambini e alle bambine di muoversi e interagire con le asine liberamente.

Infine, i fondi copriranno le spese di formazione del personale e l’acquisto di materiali specifici per l’attività.

L'evento

Per farvi partecipare più attivamente a questo crowdfunding abbiamo organizzato un evento musicale promosso interamente da giovani che si terrà presso Porta Pratello, centro sociale di Bologna, a fine settembre.

L’evento intitolato “Brisa fer l’esen” in dialetto, riunirà diversi artistə e band emergenti in un susseguirsi di live di generi diversi.

Quel giorno verrà allestito un banchetto nel quale potrete contribuire al raggiungimento dell’obiettivo del crowdfunding donando o acquistando bellissimi gadgets a tema.

Ciao! My name is Viola, I’m a graduating student in Psychology and I have been working, for several years, with Nyumba Ali Odv.

The Nyumba Ali Association, a volunteer organization from Bologna, has been working with children's disabilities in southern Tanzania for almost twenty years, in particular running three day care centers entirely administered by local staff, offering psychological, physical and educational assistance to over 70 children with motor and intellectual disabilities, including complex ones.

In addition to being a counselor of the Association, for the past five years I have been conducting Equestrian Rehabilitation (Hippotherapy) sessions with some/all children/guests at a farm near the city.

This activity was started years ago by Angela Ravaioli, former president of Il Paddock Association in Bologna and my mentor and teacher in the field of hippotherapy.

Sadly, Angela passed away prematurely not long ago, and having been a great supporter of this new pet-therapy project from the beginning, we decided to dedicate it to her.

The goal of this crowdfunding is to raise 5,000 euros to start an entirely our own project of onotherapy (pet therapy with donkeys) for the children of the Association.

The donkey is a constant presence in the culture and in the daily and working life of communities in Tanzania, which is why it is the ideal partner for a therapeutic project targeting the children of Nyumba Ali.

Creating an onotherapy project would therefore mean fully embracing their culture and promoting a hopefully more effective type of animal-assisted intervention.

Getting to the heart of the project, my aim is to form a local therapeutic team already belonging to the Association's staff, whose role will be to accompany, according to their needs and requirements, the boys and girls in onotherapy sessions, which will take place throughout the week.

The funds will be used to cover the various expenses involved in starting the project.

In particular, in cooperation with the head of the centers on site, Adam Duma, we have already taken steps to find a buildable and rentable plot of land near one of the day care centers, so as to facilitate the movement of the children and girls and ensure the continuity of the activity.

This land will house the two co-therapist donkeys who will be cared for and managed by a local groomer.

Finally, a paddock with a hut to house the animals and a therapeutic enclosure in which onotherapy sessions will take place, will be built here.

We also believe it is essential to make the space safe, inclusive, and accessible, so we plan to build walkways, slides, and handrails that will allow the boys and girls to move and interact with the donkeys freely.

Finally, the funds will cover the cost of staff training and the purchase of materials for the activity.

To get you more actively involved in this crowdfunding we have organized a music event promoted entirely by young people to be held at Porta Pratello, a social center in Bologna, on the afternoon and evening of September 28. The event titled “Brisa fer l'esen” in dialect, will bring together different artistə and emerging bands in a succession of live performances of different genres. A banquet will be set up that day where you can contribute to the crowdfunding goal by donating or buying beautiful themed gadgets.
