These orphans have found a place in my heart so I am reaching out for your help to build them a home. I have known and supported Kiswiriri Joshua and his orphans in Uganda for the past three years and continue to do so sending monthly donations for food and clothing. I can vouch for Joshua's honesty and integrity in taking on a primary role along with his mother and sisters in caring for, housing, feeding and clothing 30 orphans (16 girls, 14 boys) from his community with no other financial support other than his own earnings as a building labourer or donations he is able to manifest via his facebook page and friend contacts.

Joshua, his mother and sisters have 15 orphans living with them and 15 are with guardians in the village as they are limited due to insufficient resources like bedding and sleeping space. He provides support to these guardians who are also struggling to make ends meet and his mother and sisters feed all the children. Through fundraising the children have school supplies so can attend school.

A year ago, with help from friends Joshua established a fundraising page and we raised enough for him to buy land and avoid the high taxes imposed on rental. Joshua and the children are already growing much of their own food.

His dream is to be able to build a four-room broth to house all the children and grow their own food. It has taken a year to further raise 1100 euros toward this, but he needs a total of 8500 euros mostly for materials as he and others in the community will build it themselves. So, a shortfall of 7400 euros.

Joshua reached out to me to explore alternative strategies to raise funds as it will take another 7 years at this rate to reach his goal and the children need a home now.
He also explained that many more children need his support but due to limited resources this hinders his ability to help them. He says, “a dedicated home for them would be a game-changer making significant positive impact on their lives and our ability to care for them”.

I am reaching out for help in finding ways to help Joshua build his broth and support him and his mother to care for these beautiful orphans (see videos on facebook page ).

I hope you can help and thank you for reading this story
