Hello there!

My name is Leslie Root. I'm an aspiring actress, wife, mother to a spirited daughter, humanitarian, and an alumni from Indiana University School of Elementary Education.

I have been given a chance to do all that I have listed above and MORE! I've been chosen to participate in Dramatic Adventure Theater's trip to Ecuador with other 40 artist. We will travel to Ecuador for a month where we will be doing service projects for local communities, teaching children theater and art, and work in the Rain Forest. We will be creating theater inspired lesson plans to help empower the children of Ecuador. Through theater and the arts one can find their voice and learn to love and accept who they're truly are. And with the lesson plans I create in Ecuador, I will bring back to Indiana to empower the children I volunteer with. I will collaborate with theater companies to create workshops to help children find, accept, and love their true selves and inspire them to reach for their dreams.

While we teach and serve the communities, us artist will collaborate on a play that we will perform in Ecuador's capital and in New York City. (Can I just say that my soul is on fire right now!) This trip is hitting everything that I've been working on in my life. My humanitarian side, my teaching side, and my acting side.

The only problem is the money.  I need help raising the money that will cover everything for my soul trip.  I will not need to bring a dime with me that's how much this money will cover.  Please help me make a difference in this world. This is just the first stepping stone to what I want the rest of my life to look like. Help me cross this barrier on the path to my soul's life journey!
