Diana is a loving single mom of three who has faced a tremendous amount of hardship and loss in recent years. After bravely battling a brain tumor, grieving the sudden loss of her father, and enduring a painful divorce, she is now facing another devastating challenge: the risk of losing her home.
Just this week, Diana received a foreclosure notice. On top of that, her car was repossessed two weeks ago, and her utilities are on the verge of being disconnected. She is fighting with all her strength to hold her family together, but the weight of all these struggles is overwhelming.
My name is Maria Teresa Aguirre, and I am humbly reaching out on behalf of my daughter, Diana Carolina Aguirre-Gonzalez, and my grandchildren Natalie, Alexa, and Mikey.
Diana’s challenges began before her divorce. In 2021, she underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor. Following surgery, she suffered daily, severe and debilitating headaches that no treatment seemed to relieve. Soon after, her beloved father suddenly passed away, and the grief pushed her into severe depression. She was hospitalized after experiencing suicidal thoughts, having lost so much all at once—her health, her father, her business, and her independence.
Thankfully, with treatment and faith, Diana has found some stability. Though she still struggles with major depression, PTSD, anxiety, insomnia, and headaches, she continues to fight every day to be strong for her children, supporting them all on her own.
Diana is a cosmetologist who has a passion for her career, but because of her illness and grief, her license lapsed. She has since completed all her courses and is simply waiting for the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation to reissue it. She already has salon job offers lined up as soon as her license is reissued. In the meantime, she works with a few loyal clients from home and recently received a job offer at a new restaurant opening in September. Diana is determined to rebuild her life and provide for her kids.
Right now, however, she urgently needs help to:
Catch up on past-due mortgage payments to avoid the foreclosure and keep her children in their home
Purchase a reliable used car so she can get to work and provide stability for her family
Pay overdue utility bills so they don't get disconnected
We are asking, with great humility, for your help in this critical moment. Any support—whether it’s through donations, sharing her story, or simply keeping Diana and her kids in your prayers—would mean the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading Diana’s story and for considering helping her family. May God bless you and your loved ones abundantly.
