Water for Kenya

Hello!

We are 3 students from the UK, fundraising to make waterwells in Kenya, so that more people in the world have easier access to clean water, a vital need for all of us.

The money you donate, will be sent to Time To Help UK, which is a registered charity (1160467), established in London in 2013, working nationally and internationally.

Clean and safe water might be a common element of our lives, but there are still 1 billion people who don’t have access to this. Clean water is still one of the biggest crises of today! It’s a human’s primary need. Without it, everything becomes a risk factor: poverty, education, health and a big issue for women and children. Because of contaminated water sources, every 2 minutes, a child dies.

It is also a huge challenge for women. The average woman in rural Africa walks 6 kilometers every day to haul 40 pounds of water, and in the end, the water isn’t even clean. The long walk for water is full of dangers; wild animals attack poor souls on the way to water, sometimes children are kidnapped and don’t have time to go to school.

Donating to water initiatives plays a pivotal role in transforming lives and communities. Access to clean water is fundamental to human survival, health, and overall well-being. By contributing to water-related projects, donors empower communities with the essential resource of clean water, eliminating the daily struggles many face in sourcing it.

Such donations not only quench thirst but also pave the way for improved sanitation, reduced disease transmission, and enhanced quality of life. Moreover, they alleviate the burdens on women and children who often bear the brunt of water collection, allowing children more time for education and women for other productive activities. In essence, a donation of water is a donation towards a brighter, healthier future for many.
