PATTY’S FIGHT

Hi all. Cherie and Jess here hoping to help our mom, Patty. It has been a trying time and season of tears, pain and heartache for our family as we have endured heavy emotions watching our mom, grandma, friend, daughter and sister fight for her life. Anyone who knows Patty knows she is a kind-hearted person who would do anything for her family and friends. Those of you who know her may already know that in early August our mom was seen in the Emergency Department for pain on her right side. After a CT/MRI a large mass was found on her pelvis and small masses on her liver. Shortly after she visited the hospital she had a colonoscopy and endoscopy which showed an additional mass on her sigmoid colon. In October 2022 she was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to her liver, pelvis, and lungs. She is currently receiving chemotherapy and has had 5 treatments so far. She spends her Mondays at Pacific Cancer Care, followed by at-home treatments for the following 2 days, the end of her week consists of extreme fatigue and weakness.

Things are scary right now. The chemotherapy has taken a significant toll on her body leaving her unable to work. Although our mom can no longer work, her medical and living expenses continue to build up. We are now reaching out, for her, to extend our heartfelt need. We are focused on raising funds for her immediate needs, but we will continue to fundraise with long-term needs and recovery and support in mind. We love and appreciate any help that can be provided.

Together we can all support and encourage Patty to keep moving forward and stay positive during this fight for her life. We can provide her peace of mind which can allow her to focus on healing.
