I’m fundraising so I can travel to Kansas City to see my son graduate — a moment I’ve dreamed about for years. I haven’t been able to see him in over six years due to circumstances that were out of my control. The state put us through a long and painful journey, and it has taken everything in me to stay strong and keep hope alive.

Now, after all these years, I finally have the opportunity to be there for one of the biggest days of his life. Money is tight right now, and travel costs are more than I can manage alone — but being there for my son matters more than anything.
