Hello my name is Rowan. I'm fundraising on behalf of my family and my wife who has recently undergone a major cancer surgery.

We were told by a certain charity that they were willing to cover the cost of the airfare for my wife's mother to fly from the Philippines to Australia and back. Her visa has already been approved but now this charity has revoked the promise and said they are unable to cover any amount.

Currently, we have no way of covering this airfare fully ourselves as my wife is currently on UNPAID maternity leave for 1 year so she has more time to recover from her surgery. I'm currently on Disability Payment which we use to pay our bills, food, baby needs and my wife's medical expenses. We approached several charity organisations prior to my wife's surgery but they said they were unable to help. One charity said they are going to cover 100% then decided not to once her mum's Visa was Approved.

So now we have left with no option but to set up this gofundme which will cover the cost of the airfare and the ongoing medical expenses for my wife.

It's not very much but we have no way of getting this money from anywhere because of the ongoing medical expenses and bills we have to pay it means a lot. We will really appreciate any help. We are trying to get my wife's mom to come here to Australia as soon as possible so she can help us in taking care of my wife and our daughter Heather so I can go to work.
