Emory Sigma Chi for Change
Donation protected
Thank you to the brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s Georgia Epsilon chapter (https://www.gofundme.com/f/emory-sae-for-change) for initiating this call to action. The brothers of the Beta Chi chapter of Sigma Chi at Emory University firmly support the fight for equality and justice in the United States and will work in any way possible to improve the lives of black individuals, the safety and prosperity of all marginalized communities, and the unity and equality of the nation as a whole.
Please join us in donating to Campaign Zero (https://www.joincampaignzero.org/#vision), Black Visions Collective (https://www.blackvisionsmn.org/) and The Bail Project (https://bailproject.org/) to actualize justice and reform for all those who have suffered at the hands of racial inequality. Campaign Zero seeks to limit police interventions by improving community interactions and ensuring accountability. Black Visions Collective is a black, trans, and queer-led organization that is committed to dismantling systems of oppression and violence, and shifting the public narrative to create change. The Bail Project aims to provide equal and due process for individuals who may not necessarily be able to afford bail, regardless of the color of their skin. Both these organizations’ goal is to eliminate systemic racism and provide equal rights to all regardless of race, sex, gender, and socio-economic status.
For every $100 dollars donated to our GoFundMe (with all proceeds going to the organizations listed above), the brothers of Sigma Chi will make an equal donation of $100 up to $1500. We call upon our fellow Emory organizations to join this fight for justice and oppose racial inequality in any way possible. See the link in our bio to donate.
