Toni Augustine's Children's Fund

Donation protected
Toni Augustine's sudden passing from cancer at age 49 leaves behind two wonderful children, Chloe (17) and Nolan (14), who need our support.  Prior to her sudden illness, Toni was the primary care-giver for Chloe and Nolan, and with her passing, this responsibility goes to their father Chris.  Chris is a loving and involved father with limited financial means that have been further strained recently, with his continued support of Toni and the full time care of their children during her illness.  John, Toni's second husband, had supplemented her teaching income, and plans to continue his generous support to Chloe and Nolan, but the family faces immediate and sustained financial hardship without prompt assistance.

Chloe graduates from high school in June and will pursue a degree in Psychology.  Nolan will start high school in the fall.  The plan is to create a trust for the children to support their immediate needs for food, rent, transportation and education, as well as hopefully provide a small fund that they can turn to for major life events.

Toni grew up in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Friendswood High School.  She got her teaching degree from the University of Houston.  Toni was a passionate teacher, first in Texas and then working for DODEA in Gaeta and Vicenza, Italy.  She moved to Chicago and, with John's assistance, realized her dream of helping both adults and children through art therapy.  However, COVID-19 curtailed attendance at her school, and following her divorce from John, Toni returned to teaching at Family Matters, Chicago, to increase her income while continuing to make a difference in the lives of children.

Toni touched the hearts of so many people.  Her perspective on life and constant pursuit of growth and knowledge is an inspiration, and her warm spirit will be carried on in the lives of her children. This fund is to help these bright kids realize their dreams and ease the financial tragedy that accompanies the devastating loss of their mother. Chloe and Nolan Augustine are the beneficiaries of these funds as administered by Toni's dear friend, Melissa Ferstl. Please help today.
