There are so many reasons for fundraising today. But this one is specifically for those families who can't afford the extra groceries one would purchase for Thanksgiving. We found that there are so many people who forgo the extras so that they can get at least one gift for their kids at Christmas or afford the rent for one month or buying those much needed coats or shoes for winter. So we created this so that we could take some of that pressure off of those who can't afford it otherwise. For the gift of $25.00 you can help provide a complete Thanksgiving dinner to a family of 4. The meal includes an 8-10lb Turkey, potatoes, onions, apples, gravy, stuffing, canned vegetables, margarine and a dozen rolls typically. It varies depending on our supplier and donations but that has been what we have historically been able to provide. This is our 10th year and we are so excited to bring some peace and relief to those families who by no fault of their own most times have no other means of providing for their loved ones at the holidays.
