Family in crisis

I am making a plea for myself and my family. I'm refraining from using our names but many of my FB friends will know who I am.
My spouse and I are both in our 50's, we are both female and two years ago we adopted a then-2 year old little boy. He is now 4 and the light and love of our lives. Our son is significantly globally delayed.
My wife's lifelong struggle with anxiety and depression overtook her last Fall. She had to go out on disability. We went without her income for several months until her lesser disability started. She was the major "breadwinner" income.
In April this year I had a major emergency spinal surgery. That meant that we lost my income as well. I will not be able to work for quite sometime due to the ramifications of that surgery and a second emergency back surgery dealing with complications several weeks later.
It became apparent that we were not going to be able to pay our bills.
A close friend invited us and our two beloved dogs to stay with her until we could get on our feet again. We moved in with her when we had no other choices and are VERY grateful. Unfortunately, HER landlord does not recall her telling him we were going to be staying with her. So, we have been kicked out.
We have been staying in hotel for the last 3 nights. Soon, there will be no more money for a hotel room. We have a wonderful friend who is willing to take Matthew into her home. We aren't sure yet what will happen with our little dogs but for now they are staying with a friend. As for us, as things currently stand, we will be living in our van, possiblg.with our 2 little dogs.
We are desperate. We have a friend who has DILIGENTLY been working on our behalf to find solutions. There are NO WORDS for our gratitude to her.
HOWEVER there simply are no QUICK solutions. All the shelters are full with waiting lists. We are on ALL the waiting lists.
SO, as a reluctant last resort, I come to GoFundMe in utter desperation and total humilliation. We believe in self sufficiency! We HAVE an income through Anita's disability. I will work hard the MINUTE my surgeon lets me, but that probably won't happen til at least August.
Speaking purely for myself, I am in utter despair. I am completely hopeless and helpless.
We are desperate for the following things:
Having the money to stay in the hotel with our son until we can get into a shelter or a housing program.
Having a place for our dogs to stay when we are able to get in a shelter.
Paying off bills related to moving out of our apartment unexpectedly.
Ultimately, we need help finding a more permanent place to live with our child and dogs fulltime.
We are SO grateful for those who have offered us a hand up.
Thank you for considering helping us and God bless.
