Comunidad, we are calling for unity and support for one of our members, Marcos Briceño. Help us raise $2,500 to help him start over after deportation.
On November 4, 2025, Marcos showed up for a long day of landscaping work at the McDonald’s on 122nd and Glisan. He did what day laborers do every day. He arrived early. He worked hard. He was simply trying to earn an honest day’s pay.
In the middle of his shift, ICE agents stormed the parking lot. Without asking for identification, they grabbed him, threw him to the ground, and detained him. Marcos, a brother, son, friend, and valued member of our community, was targeted while doing nothing more than his job.
This is the reality day laborers and migrant workers are facing. It is not accidental. It is political.
We are living in a moment where migrants and day laborers are being singled out, vilified, and treated as disposable. The current administration has created conditions where people who contribute to this country every day are criminalized and attacked. Raids are increasing. Targeting is increasing. Fear is increasing. And our community members are paying the price.
Marcos is now being held at the Tacoma detention center, where conditions are harsh and dehumanizing. People go missing inside detention. Abuse goes unreported. Families are torn apart. Marcos sees this every day, and it is why he made the painful decision to stop fighting his case and prepare for deportation.
Why We Are Asking for Support
When Marcos is deported, he will arrive in Venezuela with no resources and nowhere to go. He will be starting over from nothing, and he cannot do it alone.
We are raising $2,500 to support Marcos with commissary while he remains detained and emergency funds for housing, food, and transportation once he is deported
Every dollar goes directly to Marcos to support him as he rebuilds his life in safety and dignity.
How You Can Stand With Him
We are asking you to donate whatever you can and to share this fundraiser widely. In a moment when our communities are being targeted and harmed, we must stand together with courage and solidarity.
At Voz we believe that “Solo el pueblo salva al pueblo”. Only the people can save the people.
Thank you for standing with Marcos and for standing with all migrant workers fighting for their right to live and work without fear.
