Hello everyone,

In the midst of everything happening in the world, El Salvador was hit was a major tropical storm on Sunday May 31st. As some of you may know El Salvador was recently hit with a storm known as storm Amanda. This storm has  unfortunately destroyed varies families’ homes. We have teamed up with an organization known as FUSATE. FUSATE  is an organization that is known to help the lives of the older adults in El Salvador as well as their families. With the funds that become donated we will be able to buy essentials, and housing things the families may need as well as more. We decided to work with this organization because this storm was bigger than the country of El Salvador, lives were lost and as people who have family in this country we are concerned about the lives of our neighbors and our people. As many know El Salvador is in quarantine and still only one person of the household may leave to buy essentials, this means those who need the help may not be receiving all they need. El Salvador is very small, everyone is family wether we know each other or not.  We named the GoFundMe as Un Granito De Amor because this is only a small token on how we wish can help those who were effected.  We hope that by bringing awareness we can gather funds to help those families during these difficult times. Anything helps, whether it’s by donating or spreading the word. We appreciate your help and your voice.  Elizabeth and I are both from Los Angeles, the organization we are helping with the funds are in El Salvador, this would be our first time working with them and have made a great deal of research. The funds will be used to secure beds, food, essentials for those who were affected. We plan do send the funds through a secure bank since it would be internally sent.

En medio de todo lo que sucede en el mundo, El Salvador fue golpeado por una gran tormenta conocida como Amanda el domingo 31 de mayo recientemente. Desafortunadamente, esta tormenta ha destruido las casas de varias familias. Nos hemos asociado con una organización conocida como FUSATE. FUSATE es una organización conocida por ayudar a las vidas de los adultos mayores en El Salvador, así como a sus familias. Con los fondos que se donen podremos comprar artículos esenciales y ayudar con sus viviendas en que las familias puedan necesitar, además. Decidimos trabajar con esta organización porque esta tormenta fue más grande que el país de El Salvador, se perdieron vidas y, como personas que tienen familia en este país, estamos preocupados por la vida de nuestros vecinos y nuestra gente. Como muchos saben que El Salvador está en cuarentena y todavía solo una persona del hogar puede irse a comprar lo esencial, esto significa que aquellos que necesitan la ayuda pueden no estar recibiendo todo lo que necesitan. El Salvador es muy pequeño, todos somos familia. Nombramos al GoFundMe como Un Granito De Amor porque esto es solo una pequeña muestra de cómo deseamos poder ayudar a aquellos que fueron afectados. Esperamos que al crear conciencia podamos reunir fondos para ayudar a esas familias durante estos tiempos difíciles. Cualquier cosa ayuda, ya sea donando o difundiendo la palabra.
