Humanity for Roatan - Build a Home

As part of this team, I will be building a home for the Ramos Family with Dwellings on the Island of Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras. The trip is from July 25 through August 2, 2014. We will work with the family and neighbors to build a home over 4-6 days.


I'm looking to raise $1,600.00 to cover the cost of the trip. Airfare, lodging, meals, and transportation on the island to the build is included in the total. As a team will also raise the funds needed to build the house. The link to our team page is below. Dwellings buys all build materials in-country in order to support the local economy.


As a middle school teacher, I am consistently stressing the importance of humanity, not just in our community, but also around the world. Being part of this team will allow me to “walk the walk” and to help this family as I model humanitarian behavior for the kids in both communities. I can’t think of a better way to enrich my life and the lives of so many others!
