Help us build a home for a family in Mexico
Donation protected
Hi! We are a team of Orthodox Christians from Northern Virginia traveling to build a home with Project Mexico in August 2024. We know we cannot serve alone; rather, the homebuild is the work of our whole community.
Most importantly, we invite you to join us by praying for the family who will receive the house and for all the beneficiaries, staff, and volunteers of Project Mexico.
In addition, please consider supporting our trip financially. The donations we receive will go towards construction materials, transportation costs for our team, and the needs of the Project Mexico program. In addition to building about 20 homes each summer, Project Mexico also runs the St. Innocent Orphanage for boys and the Casa Cuna San Felipe Infant Orphanage.
Our team members are from four parishes: St. Mary in Falls Church, St. Katherine in Falls Church, St. Nicholas in DC, and All Saints of America in Alexandria.
Project Mexico is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that has been building safe, secure and weather-tight homes for some of the most impoverished families in Northern Mexico since 1988. Every home is constructed over the course of four days and built entirely with volunteer labor. Once complete, these homes are provided so that these families can build a brighter future for themselves and their children.

Note: Christopher Grindstaff is the treasurer at St. Mary's Orthodox Church. He is listed as the beneficiary because St. Mary's will be handling the accounting for the GoFundMe donations.
