Early Friday morning, our lives changed in an instant. A fire broke out and destroyed my neighbors’ home completely, leaving them with absolutely nothing. Every memory, every belonging gone in minutes. My home was also badly damaged, and my brother and I can’t return because the structure is unsafe and the floor is on the verge of collapsing.

Right now, we’re staying with friends and family, trying to make sense of everything. But the pain my neighbors are going through is unimaginable. They lost everything: clothes, furniture, toys, and all the little things that make a home feel like home.
