Support Chris's Journey to Recovery

My name is Theresa White, and I have been best friends with Kim Barber (Ogden) for the past nine years. Over the years, her family has become like mine, and I am reaching out on behalf of her nephew, Chris, who is facing an unimaginable challenge.

On the night of August 2nd, just two days before his 30th birthday, Chris was involved in a tragic car accident that nearly claimed his life. Chris suffered numerous broken bones, including his back, neck, ribs, face, and skull, and a traumatic brain injury that requires extensive rehabilitation for recovery. As some of you may know, Kim Barber (Ogden) is Chris's aunt. Tragically, the Ogden family lost Chris's father, Doug Ogden (Kim's brother), to a heart attack when Chris was very young. Since then, Kim has taken Chris under her wing as if he were her own child.

Chris's mother, Debbie Ogden, has been by his side day and night. Debbie continues to support Chris and help with his children as any loving parent would. She has taken time off work to be there for him, and together, Kim and Debbie are holding his hand and talking to him, even though he is in a coma. The next seven days are critical for his survival, and both of them need our support now more than ever.

Chris and Kim share an unbreakable bond. She stays in close contact as she helps with his kids and loves him beyond words. I cannot imagine the pain this family is experiencing with the fear of losing him. Chris has endured so much over the past few years and is now a single father caring for four beautiful young children who need their father more than anything. His dedication and love for his family are unmatched; now, they need our help.

This GoFundMe campaign aims to ease the financial burden on Chris and his family as they navigate this challenging time. Medical expenses are mounting, and his loved ones are flying to Ohio to help care for him and his children. No matter how small, every donation will contribute to covering medical bills, family expenses, and other essential costs during his long road to recovery. All funds raised will go directly to the Barber family to support Chris and the kids.
