CherlLyn Beardall was a sweet loving mother who believed the lies of a deceitful man. She went to high school with a guy named Philip O’Reilly. In 2014 they reconnected and started dating. He pretended to be the type of man she was looking for: someone to help her around the house, financial partner, and a great male role model for her kids. Little red flags started to sprout for those around Cherllyn, but he hid that side from her. Eventually she gave birth to his child. Slowly he started to show his true self, harming her and the kids. He would take a child with him when ever he left the house, insuring that she would not leave a child behind. In July 2020, tragedy struck in the worse possible way… O’Reilly tortured Cherllyn resulting in her murder and he threw her away as if she was worthless.
As her sister, I fought to get the kids from him and to our family. O’Reilly has attempted to hire someone to murder the two oldest, my husband, and me to try to avoid prosecution. By the power of God, the man he hired turned O’Reilly in and no attempts on our lives we’re actually made.
The kids are healing and striving, but the father of the two oldest refuses to sign away his parental rights so they can move on. They have no relationship with their father and haven’t seen him in over ten years. As we wait for the court to issue a death certificate since no body can be recovered, we’re looking to terminate his rights and begin the adoption process. As these are unforeseeable expenses, we are praying to raise funds to pay for the adoption.
