It is with great sadness and disbelief that I announce the sudden and unexpected passing of my partner, Heath A. Dougherty at only 32 years old. On Thursday, April 23rd, I lost my best friend of 9 years and our unborn child lost the opportunity to ever meet her father. Heath was excited about becoming a first time Dad and looked forward to the birth of our daughter Delaney, due in May. They say it takes a village to raise a child and Delaney needs a village to come together and wrap their arms around her. The loss of a partner is already emotionally devastating enough without having to consider the financial implications that now falls to one parent alone. If Heath were still with us he would want to make sure Delaney had support from friends and family.
