Hi, y'all! This is a mutual aid request for a young Black family still figuring things out and doing our best to make ends meet.

Both my partner and I were previously in relationships that took major hits at our mental and financial well-being. Despite this, we've managed to find some happiness and healing with each other.

We're now a family of 5: myself (mom), my partner (dad), our 2 kids (10 & 6), and our golden doodle Chewie.

My partner works full-time and is taking all the overtime that is being allowed. I was working at a bakery but had to resign when we lost our car, as not having a car and working too far away made childcare logistics impossible. I'm currently looking for remote positions and freelance work.

Our current living arrangements are ending soon (July 15th), and while we do have income, I'm scared that we won't be able to cover so many upfront costs like deposits, utilities, truck rentals, moving supplies, and application fees.

I also was recently assaulted and need to move before moving forward with the legal process in the interest of mine and my family's safety.
