Tariq Khan's Tragic Loss of Spice It Up

Hi Alaska peeps,

Our dear friends Tariq Khan and his wife Alison have lost their beloved restaurant and food truck Spice It Up in a fire that took place the evening of May 15th. Anyone that knows Tariq knows that he is the salt of the earth type on man that has brought Fairbanks his amazing flavors and community devotion. We met Tariq while camping in the summer of 2020 and he instantly became family to us. We are asking for the help of fellow Alaskans to give Tariq and his family a boost in recovering time and money lost due to this unfortunate event. Tariq has rescued his dog pack from animal shelters in Alaska and has recently donated to the Fairbanks animal shelter in memory of his rescue dog Bronco. He has made his home Alaska and his restaurant and food truck has secured him as not only a restaurant owner in Alaska but a friend to many in the community.
