In the last month, we’ve gone from everything being completely normal, to now waiting for mum to start chemotherapy on the 30th September and being diagnosed with stage 3 high grade b-cell lymphoma. It’s been a big shock to us all, mums always been so healthy & strong. I started running because I grew up watching her smash marathons and half marathons like they were easy, and I really began to enjoy it. Dad then suggested we all run the marathon in Florence for his 50th birthday, mum included. She was training with me, and at times out running me at the start, and now she’s facing a long 6 months ahead. It’s going to be tough, but she’s much tougher. It also means she now can’t even fly to Florence to watch us and cheer us on, but we are still running together and now want to run to raise money for an amazing charity.
