Advertising people are made of strong stuff. We can take tough feedback. Back-to-back long lunches. And only being a finalist at Cannes. But there’s one thing none of us deserve to endure:
The drop shadow behind the Campaign Brief logo.
For years, it has haunted art directors and visually literate copywriters alike. But thanks to you, its days could be numbered.
It’s time to drop the shadow.
Our Plea
We’re asking for the removal of the drop shadow from the Campaign Brief logo.
That means no thin stroke. No dark outer glow. No 5 o’clock shadow.
We want it gone.
An Eye For An Eyesore
To show Lynchy we’re serious, we’ve concocted a scheme we’re referring to as “charity ransom”.
We’ll collect as much money as we can from the advertising community: and release it to The Fred Hollows Foundation. But only once our demand is met.
Basically: by removing an eyesore, he can help restore sight to people around the globe.
If Lynchy turns Grinchy and fails to act, we’ll give your money back. But we’re pretty sure he’ll cave.
Depending on the credibility of your accountant, donations are most likely tax deductible. But you’re not doing it for that. You’re doing it for the sake of good design (and the blind kids).
2001 wants its logo back. Let’s return it.
Let’s drop the shadow.
