Hello everyone! My name is Chelsea and I am a 30-year-old recovering addict. Today, August 4, I have 11 months clean and serene.

In these short 11 months, I have managed to get my daughter and me our own apartment, started working again, furnished our new apartment, and even got my driver's license back!

However, a car is something that has been more difficult to obtain despite a lot of effort. I am going out of my comfort zone here and trying to ask for help.

My daughter Christie is almost 2 years old (on August 23rd) and she is enrolled in the Headstart program Monday through Thursday. So, our routine has consisted of waking up early and walking to the bus stop to get her to Headstart by 8 am. I don't know if you have ever tried walking alongside any kind of public road with a toddler, but let me tell you, it is exhausting. Even though she is such a big girl and so well-behaved.

I am just trying to better my life and continue to get better in my recovery, and I just feel like I am so drained from all the walking and bus hopping by the time we get back home around 4 pm (I pick her up at 3 pm).

Unfortunately, I don't work enough hours for financing; I've tried.

I really am not good at asking for help but here I am, putting myself out there for my family. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this, and please consider anything you can give to help my little family.
