"Children need sunshine not war" Theodora

On 1/2/21 a military coup took place in Myanmar. Every day there are protests by brave people simply asking for democracy , At least 800 people have been murdered. Many more are in prisons, or in hiding.

We are a Myanmar family living in the UK. Our daughter Theodora turns 8 on 18th May. She has said that she does not want a birthday party but instead she wants to do something to help the children who have had to flee their homes and villages to escape the army.

Theodora believes that all children have the right to happy and peaceful lives. She asks you "Can you imagine how they feel without food, shelter and toys? All they have is fear".

Theodora wants to raise money so that the children in Myanmar can have shelter, food and blankets.

Theodora is going to read a story a day for 30 days. She hopes that one day children in Myanmar will learn that they have not been forgotten by the world
