63km for Kapwa Strong (Lapu Lapu Day Fundraiser)

Donation protected
We are Ellen, Tom and Bryn, three friends all running the BMO Vancouver Half Marathon this Sunday 4th May at 7am.
We will each be running 13.1 miles or 21.1km, a total of 63.3km as a collective effort.

We will be raising money through any kind donations for United Way BC's Kapwa Strong Fund, 100% of which is going directly to provide immediate support, counselling and community-led events for those impacted by Vancouver's Lapu Lapu Day tragedy on April 26th.

'Kapwa' is a term that describes the Filipino experience of community, interconnectedness and shared humanity.
We are lucky to call Vancouver our home, and we stand in solidarity with our Filipino neighbours at this time of mourning.

Any donations/sponsorship, no matter how small, will be extremely gratefully received. Thank you!

[Edit: although we have completed the half marathon, we will be accepting donations until 25th May. On the 26th, funds will be withdrawn and donated directly to the Kapwa Strong Fund. We will post a screenshot of the donation once it has been made for transparency]
