Our community is facing unprecedented challenges and economic hardship during this time of uncertainty.
The impacts on our financial, social, emotional and physical well-being are far-reaching and will undoubtedly be long-lasting.
Although a number of government benefits are now accessible, there are still so many of us who are falling through the eligibility cracks, or who have needs that cannot wait until those funds are received.
We are hoping that our community can continue the generous Pender spirit of compassion by contributing to this fund to support our friends and neighbours during this time of need.

Donations can be made online, through this GoFundMe, or you can contact us directly if you would like to donate using an alternative method.

The applications will be reviewed once per week by an independent board (administered by the SGI Community Resource Centre, a local non-profit society), and the approved funds will be dispersed on a rolling basis.
*The amount of funds that can be released depends on the donations received.
The funds will be dispersed in Tru-Value gift cards ($50, $100 or $200 denominations, depending on family size), or in micro-grants (up to $500).
This will continue on an ongoing basis, as long as the need exists within the community, and as long as the donations continue.
We are so proud to be part of a community that is truly committed to supporting each other, whether it's by donating to this fund, calling and checking-in on neighbours, dropping off supplies to those in isolation, or just offering a (physically-distanced) helping help - there is so much to be grateful for.
