It's that time of the year and we couldn't be more excited! We are back for a SIXTH year! We want to start off by saying thank you to all of our supporters and contributors in the past, because of you we have been able to make a greater impact each year. With your support last year we were able to hand deliver food packages and gift bags to the children. The gift bags were filled with wonderful presents and school supplies for them.

Just like last year, Santa Goes to Honduras is brought to you by our parent organization Tiny Hands of Honduras (THH). We started THH in order to expand our outreach to the children of Honduras. We believe in bringing peace through love and education for a brighter future of Honduras. Our children, our future.

Estamos en la época más bonita del año y no podríamos estar más emocionados! Volvemos por el SEXTO año! Queremos tomar un momento para agradecer a todos nuestros contribuidores, gracias a sus apoyos hemos podido ayudar a más comunidades cada año. El año pasado pudimos repartir bolsas de comida junto a las bolsitas de regalitos para los niños. Las bolsitas estaban llenas de juguetes y materiales escolares.

 

Igual que el año pasado, Santa Goes to Honduras forma parte de Tiny Hands of Honduras (THH). Empezamos THH para poder expander nuestros eventos a más niños de las comunidades de Honduras durante el año. Nosotros creemos en paz, amor y educación para poder crear un mejor futuro para Honduras. Nuestros niños, nuestro futuro.

OUR STORY

 

Santa Goes to Honduras all started when my grandpa was still with us. Every year he would go to a big toy store and buy as many toys as he could fit into his car. Then he'd go deliver them to impoverished communities in Honduras, specifically in Santa Barbara. He would always talk about how the kids would look forward to seeing him arrive every year around Christmas time. I remember my face would light up every time I heard the stories. Since then I decided I would love to carry on his tradition. So my family and I did.

 

Today, as we carry on his legacy of bringing Christmas spirit the children with not only toys but also educational material. We realized we wanted to share this opportunity with other communities around the world. To you!

Some kids don't get to open any gifts during the happiest time of the year. Others don't even know who Santa Claus is. This is why we need your help!

OUR GOAL

 

All of the funds raised will go to buying gifts and educational materials for the children. When we say all, we mean 100%. With this amount, we'll be able to provide them not only toy cars or dolls but also educational gifts such as books, note pads, and pencils!

 

We want to be the light of Christmas Spirit for the communities and the kids and all we need is your contribution. Doesn't matter how little or how much, or even if you can't donate, please share the link amongst your family and friends!

We believe that aiding the children of Honduras with educational resources and materials will encourage them to stay in school and continue on to brighter paths. A big problem Honduras has is crime. Crime comes from lack of education in our youth. Uneducated children grow older and end up in unfortunate and dangerous situations. We want to help that from continuing by encouraging their education for a brighter Honduras.

NUESTRA HISTORIA

 

Todo comenzó cuando nuestro abuelo aún seguía con nosotros. Cada año, el iba a la tienda más grande de juguetes y compraba todos los juguetes que podrían caber en su carro. Luego, iba y los entregaba en las comunidades más pobres de Honduras, específicamente en Santa Bárbara.

 

Siempre nos contaba de cómo los niños esperaban con ansias el día de verlo llegar para el tiempo de Navidad. Recuerdo como mi rostro se iluminaba cada vez que escuchaba sus historias; yo solo pensaba en cómo me encantaría seguir con esta tradición. Entonces, mi familia y yo, lo hicimos.

 

Ahora, así es como seguimos con su legado de traer el espíritu navideño a los niños. Nos dimos cuenta que queríamos compartir esta oportunidad con otras comunidades, alrededor del mundo. A ustedes!

 

Algunos niños no llegan a abrir un regalo en la época más feliz del año, y, otros no saben siquiera quién es Santa Claus. Es por eso que necesitamos tu ayuda!

NUESTRA META

 

Todos los fondos recaudados van a ser utilizados en comprar regalos para los niños. Y cuando decimos “todos” nos referimos al 100%. Con esta cantidad vamos a poder darles, no solo carros de juguetes o muñecas, si no también regalos educativos, como libros, lápices, y libretas.

 

Queremos ser la luz del espíritu navideño en las comunidades y en los niños, y todo lo que necesitamos es tu contribución. No importa cuánto puedas aportar, o, si no puedes aportar, nos ayudarías compartiendo este link con tus familiares y amigos.

Queremos ayudar a los niños de Honduras con recursos y materials educativos para que puedan permanecer en la escuela y continuar por caminos más brillantes. Un gran problema que tiene Honduras es el crimen. El crimen proviene de la falta de educación en nuestra juventud. Muchos de los niños sin educación crecen y terminan en situaciones desafortunadas y peligrosas. Queremos ayudar a que eso no continue por eso queremos ayudar su educación para un Honduras más brillante.
