Hey y’all.

My family and I are in the middle of some difficult times and I have exhausted all my resources trying to get us out of food insecurity, housing issues, and with elevating medical needs.

Two Saturdays ago I got a sudden call that my sister was thankfully allowed into the country after narrowly escaping a kidnapping and violent threats in our home state of Guerrero.

She left her home with 4 kids, all 17 and under, without any clothes besides what they were wearing. We hid her at another siblings house last month and then placed her on a bus for the long journey to the border so she could seek asylum.

We are thankful she is alive and that my 15 year old nephew is getting better after having been drugged and tortured for months.  

And while I have faith a year from now things will be different, I am really saddened to feel like I can’t help more. I am a mother of four with an autistic partner + son and have a six month old with long COVID. 

I am at full care-giving capacity.

But of course my sister really needs help. She has a nonverbal autistic son who suffers from epileptic convulsions. She’s also not allowed to work in the USA until she applied for asylum which we need to pay for. 

So I am now asking for your help to get us through this bump so our hardship doesn’t turn into debilitating homelessness.

- Taxi Ride for 5 ppl $450 border to San Antonio
- Cash for travel food $150
- Greyhound for 5 ppl $1546
- 4 clothing items + shoes each for 5 ppl $600
- Rent assistance $1000
