60 miles for Refuge (Domestic abuse charity)
Hi there, Do you want to join me in making a difference?
I will be walking 60 miles this September in aid of Refuge , a charity in aid of women and children who are victims of domestic abuse.
I'm hoping to rase £140 pounds, the number is symbolic as 1 in every 4 women in the UK will experience domestic abuse in their lives - this is a horrific statistic, all money raised will go straight to helping finance services to support thousands of survivors of domestic abuse, helping them to overcome the physical, emotional, financial and logistical impacts of abuse and rebuild their lives — free from fear.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
More information about Refuge: Refuge first opened in 1971. Since then they have grown to support almost 7,000 women and children every day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution and so-called 'honour' based violence.
