Ride for Mental Peace

Donation protected
On August 26th 2013, I (Brandon Ewers) will set out on my self supported journey riding a mountain bike across the western US to raise funds for mental health research and awareness. My journey will start in Portland, Oregon and travel down the pacific coast highway to San Diego. My ride for awareness will then take me back up to Nevada across Utah, Colorado and back home to Austin, Texas.

100% of the funds raised will be dedicated to building better lives for children and youth affected by mental illness.

The 60/40 Foundation - 60% is mental and 40% is action. This effort is to raise funds which will provide children and teenagers with bicycles in order to create an outlet to express themselves and cope with their struggle with mental health disorders.

I am making a limited run of wine bottles as well that will be glazed and sold based on donations ($100 minimum). 100% of the proceeds will also go to this effort. Here are the bottle options:

This is where I need your help. Nearly 60 million Americans experience a mental health condition every year. Regardless of race, age, religion or economic status, mental illness impacts the lives of at least one in four adults and one in 10 children across the United States. People living with mental illness need help and hope: they need a community that supports them, their families and their recovery.

Because mental illness devastates the lives of so many Americans, we need your help in donating to this great cause in hopes to making a change.

Sincerely,

Brandon Ewers
