A devoted single mother of a 17-year-old son has selflessly stepped up to take in five of her sister’s children—ages 7 months, 3, 8, 14, and 16—after a heartbreaking turn of events led to their removal by CPS due to their mother’s incarceration. Without hesitation, she opened her heart and her home, determined to keep these children safe, loved, and—most importantly—together.

What started as a quiet home for two is now a bustling household of six children, ranging from infancy to high school. This mother, this aunt, is doing everything she can to keep these siblings with family and out of the foster care system—but she can’t do it alone.
