On July 9, 2025 my family received the worst phone call that anyone could receive. My 78 year old grandmother, Juanita, was in agony for several hours fighting for her last breaths. My mother did not think twice and booked a flight with my dad in hopes of saying her last goodbye to her beloved mother. Both of my parents packed 22 years of living in the United States in just 4 suitcases. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away a few hours after the phone call and my mother was unable to make it to Mexico on time. I left the U.S. with my parents to guide them through the journey back to their home country. My two younger siblings stayed in the U.S. with a broken heart and immense grief for the loss of our grandmother and departure of both parents. My parents dream was to one day go back to their home country well equipped with everything needed to adjust comfortably but this was an unexpected tragedy for all of us. They are currently taking care of our 84 year old grandfather who has lost his life long soulmate. My siblings and I are organizing this GoFundMe in hopes that my parents and grandfather are able to grief in peace by alleviating the financial burden of funeral costs and the expenses of getting situated to their new life away from their 3 children.
