April 27th marked my five year anniversary of streaming on Twitch!
Over these five years, I’ve connected with so many genuinely good people, and I’m so grateful for the community I’ve found. You guys have been with me through over a thousand hours of studying, games, dressing up as random characters, and other shenanigans.
As you may have noticed, I ended up taking a long break from streaming because there was just too much going on. Over the past few months I have finally gotten to a place where I feel ready to start again. Now that I’m back, I want to do something meaningful with this platform. Since December I have already done two fundraisers and ran a 5K to raise money for domestic violence. Together we have already donated $450 towards prevention and victim support.
In addition to the anniversary stream I had on Sunday (thank you to those who were there with me to celebrate!) I want to use my five year milestone as another chance to give back. I will donate 50% of all funds raised on this GoFundMe until the end of April to the National Network to End Domestic Violence or NNEDV. NNEDV works across the US to support local programs and shelters, advocate for survivors, and provide resources that help survivors to stay safe and rebuild their lives. They also run a 24/7 support hotline and provide legal information through WomensLaw.org.
If you choose to contribute, you’re not just supporting me and the stream (as well as my son and my feline cohost Pippin), you’re helping to prevent DV and support survivors.
