For my daughters

Let me start by thanking you for taking the time to read this. Time is precious, I know this now. My name is Chris, I'm 41 years old, married, with three beautiful daughters. Olivia is 9 years old, Myriam is 6 and Lilly is 5.

3 years ago I was diagnosed with CKD ( Chronic kidney disease ) I had just started a new job and we were in the process of buying our first house. Unfortunately the disease progressed fast and I ended up with end stage kidney disease with almost no kidney function. The only option was to begin peritoneal dialysis. In the beginning I felt okay and still continued to work despite being told not too and we moved into our new home. I continued to work, driving from our home to work that was a hour and a half away. While working I developed a hernia and was forced to stop. I tried hard to heal and get back to work but things continued to worsen. My bloodworks started to get worse, I began to swell. I ended up in the hospital on numerous occasions for different reasons. Changes were needed, and I ended up having to rest a lot and take many medications. I ended up on government disability.

Since then, we have accumulated debt that is increasingly getting harder to manage. We had our roof leak and had to fix it, more debt. Disability just gave us enough to pay our mortgage and our bills but we had a hard time putting food on the table. Now we're at the end of our rope. I still have 2-3 years to wait before I'll get a transplant and be able to go back to work. My wife can't work now because we would lose my disability and we wouldn't make more money and I also need my wife's help on occasion. It's a bad situation. We've been fighting so hard to keep things good but we can't anymore. It's begun to put pressure on my wife and kids. We need help. We live in the country so we need a vehicle, we all know that's a major cost. So I'm asking for help, just to be able to get through this. Put food on the table. Keep my car on the road. Not lose everything while I can't do anything to stop it. Like I said, anything helps.

Thank you so much for reading this. Have a great day.
