This is my fun, spunky, son CJ.

He was at his first visit to high school the other day and took a pretty nasty fall. He tripped on a wire and hit a newly constructed edge of a road right under his ribs. After a long night in the hospital, lots of test later, they found a hole in his upper intestine, real close to his stomach.

He was then transferred to Houston Children's Hospital to have emergency surgery. His care team has done a great job at taking care of him. He went through 4 hours of surgery, and we have a long road of recovery ahead of us. Because of where the hole in his intestine is located, they explained it is a very hard place to heal. They had to put 5 tubes in his abdomen, some for draining, one for feeding.

We will be at the children's hospital for at least 2 weeks. That's depending on future testing and how the hole heals. Please say a few prayers for my little warrior.

I will be out of work for a little while and staying with him at the hospital. The two-hour trip back home and the follow-up trips will be a lot to financially manage. Any help will go towards gas to get here and back. Also anything Cj may need during recovery. If you could help in any way, we would greatly appreciate it.
