5th Annual Rally With The Rapids

For the past 5 years, Grand Valley State University sport management students have hosted Rally With The Rapids in collaboration with Special Olympics of Michigan. This event is a basketball game that hosts Area 5 (Big Rapids) and Area 12 (Grand Rapids) Special Olympics teams, coming together for competition, camaraderie, and new friendships.

As victory driven as these athletes are, over everything, they have expressed the value of the experience over the result. Rally With The Rapids gives them a space to be seen, heard, and for their athletic skills displayed and appreciated. Our mission is to produce the best event possible with an atmosphere of relationship and memory building as a priority.

This year, we have the goal of a $3,500 donation to our participating teams. We ask you to please consider supporting Special Olympics of Michigan through Rally With the Rapids by donating, watching, sharing, and in any other way possible. Your contributions means everything to us. Thank you.

All funds generated from this GoFundMe will be directly donated to Area 5 & 12 SOMI Teams at the conclusion of the 5th Annual Rally With the Rapids on November 29th, 2023.
