Hello! My name is Caelyn Addy, and I am Contestant Number Six in the Miss Omega Psi Phi Scholarship Pageant. I attended high school in Lawrenceville, Georgia, where I graduated during the 2024-2025 school year. I am now attending the University of Georgia as a freshman, majoring in Biology with an emphasis in Neuroscience and minoring in Biomedical Physiology on the Pre-Medical track.
Throughout the course of high school, I navigated my mental health issues with the help of therapy and counseling. On this journey, I learned about the importance of mental counseling and grew an appreciation for those who work in mental health services. Through my personal experience, I have noticed that there is a lack of availability for treatment, more specifically, the lack of funding for these services.
Motivated by the Health Initiative mandated program of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, I intend to support Advantage Behavioral Health Systems located in Athens, Georgia. As someone fortunate enough to receive support and treatment, I find it crucial that others never feel unsupported or alone on their journey toward better health.
Advantage Behavioral Health Systems strives to provide person-centered treatment and recovery support to individuals and families experiencing behavioral health challenges, intellectual/developmental disabilities, addictive diseases, and more-- and I would be honored to contribute to the positive impact they bring to the community. By raising funds for this clinic, I can help ease the fears that many patients experience when worrying about how to cover their costs.
Please join me in supporting better mental health for my community and others, dollar by dollar.
Thank you so much for your support!
