Tax deductible
Project COPE is an acronym for Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience, a program in the Boy Scouts of America. It consists of group initiative games, trust events, low-course events, and high-course events. Some activities involve a group challenge, while others develop individual skills and agility. Participants climb, swing, balance, jump, rappel, and devise solutions to a variety of problems.
Each Project COPE program emphasizes eight major goals:communication, planning, trust, teamwork, leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and self-esteem.
The Glacier's Edge Council is looking to plan, design, and build a full low COPE course at Ed Bryant Scout Reservation for the summer camping season in 2014.
Update: 02.09.2014
The Takoda Lodge Executive Committee has voted to fund $13,500 of the Low COPE Course. We are excited to have such a large portion of the program funded and would like to thank the lodge leadership.
